Free services are also offered to the community such as lipid, cholesterol, bone density and glucose screenings as well as hearing and memory screenings.It is the policy of Mercy Hospital Jefferson to provide uncompensated care to patients in need of financial assistance in accordance with the hospital's established guidelines and without regard to race, religion, sex, age, or national origin. The cost, net of any payment received (net cost), to MHJ of providing care to persons qualifying for Charity/ Medicaid, and to elderly and disabled patients under the Medicare program totaled $12,473,966 in the year ended 6/30/19.
