Mentoring: Mercy Street's mentoring builds healthy, long-term relationships with the children in the West Dallas public schools with the goal of raising leaders from within the community who will lead positive, permanent changes in their community. Mercy Street's mentoring program is focused on instilling hope through encouraging, supportive relationships. During the year ending August 31, 2018, 215 mentors from the Dallas area, provided systematic and regular mentoring support throughout the year. Several hundred other volunteers have assisted on a part-time basis in the other programs of the ministry- sports programs, community wide events, Bible studies, and our leadership institute.
