FITE contraced with 4 skills centers in Western Washington in 2018. At each skills center, students attend classes year-round for half of their school day and gain valuable high school and college credit. FITE saw substantial growth in our newest program in Tumwater. Students in the full-year class were able to participate in live fire trainin, realistic interview practice, and advanced emergency medical skills training. All instructors in the FITE program are full-time career firefighters in the area nearest to the skills center they teach.
