NMASC state leadership conference: This annual conference explores your leadership was hosted at Farmington HS - it featured student and adult-led training workshops; outstanding national motivational speakers Heather Schultz and Eddie Slowikowski; an achievement showcase; practicing democracy via student elections; building camaraderie with schools in their geographical regions as well as from around the state; peer to peer learning; and awards and recognition. Special adult recognitions went to the high school advisor of the year; administrator of the year; and to a student summer workshop participant for 6 years. The host school, a small school in northwest NM, welcomed over 1,190 student leaders and advisors state-wide (a growth of about 300 in the last five years).
