PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, FACILIATION AND CAPACITY-BUILDING FOR COMMUNITY-BASED CONSERVATION PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT HAWAII, INCLUDING:- 86% OF GATHERING AND WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS SAID THEY LEARNED SOMETHING NEW THAT THEY WILL APPLY AT THEIR HOME SITES.- 95% SAID THEY LEARNED SOMETHING NEW SPECIFICALLY FROM TALKING STORY (SHARING THROUGH CONVERSATION/DISCUSSION).- AFTER 10 YEARS OF WORK, THE E ALU PU NETWORK DEVELOPED ITS OWN SHARED MEASURES TO LOOK AT THE IMPACT OF THEIR SHARED WORK TOGETHER.- THE WORK OF KUA AND THE NETWORKS WERE REPRESENTED AT 39 LOCAL, STATE, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL CONVENINGS OF PROFESSIONALS, POLICY-MAKERS, EDUCATORS, AND STUDENTS. - KUA PROVIDED SITE-BASED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN AREAS INCLUDING COMMUNICATIONS, NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, PERMITTING, AND LIMU PROPAGATION TO 25 GROUPS. - POLICY ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDED: (1) IUCN IMPLEMENTED INDIGENOUS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, KUA WAS DESIGNATED AS ONE OF THE FIRST INDIGENOUS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER THE NEW IUCN CATEGORY. (2) THE SUBMISSION ON THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES POLICY TO THE GREEN CLIMATE FUND THAT WAS SIGNED BY 105 INDIGENOUS PEOPLES AND SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS HAS BEEN SENT TO THE GCF SECRETARIAT ON APRIL 1. (3) HB 861 CBSFA BILL. (4) MO'OMOMI CBSFA.- SITE BASED IMPACT BY NETWORKS (4 COMMUNITIES DIRECTLY BENEFITED):(1)HMLI ANNUAL GATHERING: 1/3 ACRE VEGETATION IN WATER REMOVED AND 100 LINEAR FEET OF KUAPA RESTORED(2)E ALU PU ANNUAL GATHERING: 200 FEET OF HISTORIC HAPA TRAIL WALL RESTORED, MANGROVE REMOVAL AT NOMILU FISHPOND- 92% OF HMLI GROUPS AND 100% OF EAP GROUPS REPORTED CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER GROUPS OUTSIDE OF NETWORK EVENTS.- PERCENTAGE WHO SAY THAT PARTICIPATION HAS ENABLED THEM TO ACHIEVE MORE THAN THEY WOULD ON THEIR OWN: LIMU HUI: 83%, HMLI: 76%, EAP: 52%
