Mission

ChickTechs mission is to retain women in the technology workforce and increase the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers.

About

Our youth programs served 1777 unique girls, including K-12 students. Our largest youth program is ChickTech:High School, which ran in 16 cities across the country, totalling 91 events. The high school program serves underserved girls throughout the school year, with activities ranging from hands-on workshops and career mentoring with technology professionals. The objectives include increasing participants confidence in their technology skills, increasing their sense of belonging and community around the technology industry in order to increase the number of girls/young women entering the technology workforce. Although most of our chapters are in urban areas, we have started piloting middle school and high school programs in rural areas to expand our reach. Various chapters also ran middle school camps, community workshops, and Hour of Code events for younger students.
