About

Our flagship event is Sound Summit: a benefit for the mountain, an annual music and arts festival held to help raise funding for and awareness of the needs of Mount Tamalpais State Park. Through our initial efforts at Sound Summit 2015, Roots & Branches was able to grant $40,000 in funds to the park, allocated to projects in fire prevention, water conservation, emergency services, and ranger equipment. In the following three years, we've been able to grant an additional $160,000 to the state park through our work at Sound Summit $60,000 in 2016, $75,000 in 2017, and $25,000 in 2018 for a total of $200,0000 to date. Those grant funds are being allocated for use upon execution of a donor agreement with California State Parks in 2019.
