Our mission is to create a thriving region in the Monterey Bay area, with quality jobs, excellent education and health care, while preserving the natural beauty and healthy lifestyle we all share. We focus on ensuring the availability of safe and affordable housing for our residents. We are also dedicated to improving the quality of life through transportation solutions, which improve the way we move within and between our cities. A third initiative focuses on building momentum to help local businesses hire local talent and providing resources to enable residents to make a living wage. Additionally, we work on ways to encourage a thriving tech ecosystem, with particular emphasis on spreading high-speed internet throughout the region. In 2019 MBEP launched an initiative to address climate change, an issue interwoven with every other item on our agenda to date.
