Mission

The Shai Fund is a non-profit organization where international professionals unite to provide humanitarian assistance in disaster relief and development situations.

About

Project Nazarene seeks to bring humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to hundreds of thousands of displaced Iraqi and Syrian minorities (IDPs and refugees) who have been forced to flee their homes to escape the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). In the Kurdish region of Iraq, an estimated 120,000 Christians are living in unfinished buildings with exposed wiring and water leaks, church halls and sanctuaries, gardens and in tents. Yezidi women and girls that escaped sexual slavery return to IDP camps needing humanitarian assistance. Through Project Nazarene, the Shai Fund is providing aid packages to needy families and winter clothing to religious minorities. Refugee integration project responds to the influx of refugees in Germany with humanitarian assistance for unaccompanied minors, non-verbal trauma therapy in order to integrate asylum seekers into local schools, and an art therapy trauma program designed to address the non-verbal core of traumatic memory to improve resilience and the mental health of children.
