About

The Dickey Foundation contributed over 100 ballistic plates and/or ballistic vests to the Dallas Police Department as well as the Abilene PD, Duncanville PD, and Princeton PD. Inspired by our donation of the very-highest quality ballistic plates Angel Armor to the Dallas PD gang, and narcotic units, as well as the SWAT teams, the state of Texas provided funding to procure these plates and vests for all patrol officers. We then coordinated the distribution of these plates and vests within the Dallas PD and their substations. In addition to vests and plates, we donated 150,000 of specifically designed guns requested by the Dallas PD. These guns are designed to fit in a motorcycle holster that cannot be accessed by the public to ensure public safety.
