About

Physician education has become our central focus at IOF. With the inception of IOF's physician education program in 2016, IOF became uniquely positioned to set the standard for teaching the fundamental knowledge and skillsets necessary for physicians to practice in this advanced medical specialty. IOF has instructed and certified over 500 physicians through our structured, competency-based and certified education program. Clearly, this program is successfully channeling physicians into this field, providing them with the appropriate treatment techniques and impacting their treatment of patients. Grant support is used to further develop our curriculum, promote our education program throughout the United States, and enlist experienced instructors who are actively engaged in educating physicians.
