DURING 2018, HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS CONTINUED TO TARGET UNDER-UTILZED FEDERAL NUTRITION PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK MINNESOTA CHILDREN IN LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS FOUR PROGRAMS TO BOOST NUTRITION PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN INCLUDING: (1) BIRTH TO FIVE. WHERE HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS DESIGNED A PILOT PROGRAM TO INCREASE WIC RETENTION FOR ELIGIBLE CHILDREN AGES 9 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS LIVING IN RAMSEY, WRIGHT, SCOTT AND CARVER, MINNESOTA COUNTIES. (2) SCHOOL BREAKFAST. THE ORGANIZATION INVESTED IN 42 SCHOOL SITES IN THE WEST MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA METRO PROVIDING INFASTRUCTURE AND SUPPORT. SCHOOL BREAKFAST INITIATIVES RESULTED IN 1,170,039 NEW MEALS AND 6,020,852 IN REVENUE REIMBURSEMENTS FROM THE STATE. (3) AFTER-SCHOOL MEALS. HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS LAUNCHED THE "HUNGERY FOR WINS (H4W)" SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO PROMOTE PARTICIPATION IN MEAL TIME PROGRAMS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION FOR LOWER INCOME STUDENTS. DURING 2018, THE ORGANIZATION WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR 1,870,776 NEW MEALS AND 4,326,482 IN REVENUE REIMBURSEMENTS FROM THE STATE. (4) SUMMER MEALS INITIATIVE. THE 2018 YEAR SAW MEAL SITE EXPANSION TO MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING, COMMUNITY LIBRARIES, COMMUNITY CENTERS, FOOD TRUCKS AND PARKS. HIP WAS RESPONISBLE FOR 499,323 NEW MEALS AND 1,285,788 IN REVENUE REIMBURSEMENTS FROM THE STATE.
