The Nate Parker Foundation (NPF) leverages film and philanthropy to transform the quality of black lives through education, cultural enrichment, social justice, and economic empowerment. About
In 2016, the Nate Parker Foundation established their flagship summer film institute at Wiley College. The first year the NPF brought 31 black students from HBCUs and PWIs to Wiley College for an intensive summer institute where students were taught by some of the top scholars of black history and film professionals. By the end of the institute the students wrote, directed, and produced a short film. The NPF created a cohort of activist-storytellers, all of whom left feeling more connected to their heritage and communities.
