Mission
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC) works in partnership with the community to address the needs of low-income homeowners, primarily elderly, disabled and families with children within the Priority Funding Areas and Designated Revitalization areas of Montgomery County. The program performs home repairs, home modifications and provide referrals to social service providers to address issues surrounding social, financial, mental health, physical health and daily living activities. With the addition of the referral program LINK, Handyman, Project Day, Community Revitalization and Home Modification programs, RTMC can impact the homeowner in a holistic manner, with a program that enriches their physical environment and personal health while promoting self-sufficiency and independence.

SINCE 1990 REBUILDING TOGETHER MONTGOMERY COUNTY HAS BEEN BRINGING VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITIES TOGETHER TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME HOME OWNERS ACROSS THE COUNTY WITH FREE CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS, ENERGY EFFICIENCY UPGRADES, AND ACCESSIBILITY MODIFICATIONS, ALONG WITH LINKS TO WRAP-AROUND SERVICES. WE WORK WITH SOME OF THE COUNTY'S MOST VULNERABLE RESIDENTS, ENSURING OUR - ELDERLY, INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, VETERANS, AND FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN - HAVE SAFE AND HEALTHY HOMES IN WHICH TO LIVE AND THRIVE. WE PRESERVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING, HELP TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS, AND STABILIZE COMMUNITIES. TO THIS END, 115 HOMES, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS ALONG WITH 2 COUNTY GROUP HOMES, RECEIVED OUR FREE RENOVATION SERVICES WITH OVER 695 REPAIRS BEING UNDERTAKEN AT LOCATIONS ACROSS MONTGOMERY COUNTY.
