PALM BEACH COUNTY HAS 200,000 FOOD INSECURE INDIVIDUALS, WITH 64,000 OF THEM BEING CHILDREN- AND OUR OVERARCHING GOAL IS TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO HAVE ACCESS TO HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS FOOD AND REDUCE THIS TROUBLING STATISTIC.ACHIEVE PALM BEACH COUNTY:IN 2017, UNITED WAY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY BECAME THE BACKBONE AGENCY FOR ACHIEVE PALM BEACH COUNTY, A COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVE WITH A VISION THAT EVERY PALM BEACH COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE COMPLETES A POST-SECONDARY CREDENTIAL WITHIN SIX YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION THAT PREPARES THEM FOR A MEANINGFUL CAREER WITH A SUSTAINABLE WAGE. THE MISSION IS TO ENSURE AN INTEGRATED AND EFFECTIVE SYSTEM OF SUPPORTS FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL THROUGH POST-SECONDARY THAT EMPOWERS STUDENTS FOR CAREER SUCCESS.
