About
The woman's club conducted approximately 30 weekly educational programs for members and the public from October through April. We also held fundraisers to raise money for local charities. The largest event was our annual rummage sale. We gave the grants to eight organizations and provided in-kind gifts to several charities that serve the area's homeless population. Our historic clubhouse, built in 1921 and listed on the national historical register, is used for community and rental events. It was recently renovated to preserve the building for future generations. A partnership with Central Florida Vocal Arts and a local dance group allows them to use the building for rehearsals during the week at no charge. We also maintain archives for people who wish to research the history of the woman's club and the many women who have been part of it over the years.
