Case work and direct financial aid to individuals and families consisting of food, clothing, information and financial assistance with the utilities or rent and referral service to other agencies. 24,000 people received 1 1/2 week's worth of food including meat and fresh milk, juice, cereal, and pastries which made 188,500 meals from the Jerry Doliner Food Bank. 2,280 people received clothing, 642 received household goods or furniture, 74 families received rental or utility assistance, 59 families received hurricane disaster relief funds, 25 people received help with medical equipment and 3 people received help with prescription costs. 461 families received Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets. 150 children received toys and 300 tweens received gift cards for the holidays. 130 elderly received gifts for the Jewish holiday of Chanukah. Fifty nine families received assistance for hurricane disaster relief and 27,402 people received either food, clothing, household goods, prescription, rent or utility assistance. Individuals are provided assistance regardless of their religious affiliation. Ninety-eight percent of the people served were not of the Jewish faith.
