RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS FOR NEEDY/NEGLECTED/ABUSED CHILDREN:HOLSTON HOME OPERATES THREE GROUP CARE PROGRAMS AND AN INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM. THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE SERVICES TO BOTH MALE AND FEMALE YOUTH AND ARE A PART OF THE AGENCY'S CONTINUUM OF CARE. KEY COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAM INCLUDE: ADOPTION SERVICES, DAY TREATMENT SERVICES AT OUR ON-CAMPUS SCHOOL, INTENSIVE IN HOME SERVICES, CHRISTIAN LIFE ACTIVITIES, INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, FAMILY COUNSELING, ALCOHOL AND DRUG EDUCATION, ADVENTURE BASED COUNSELING, ADAPTIVE LIVING AND INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING. EACH YOUTH HAS A CHILD AND FAMILY SPECIALIST THAT PROVIDES BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING SERVICES. OUR GOAL IS THAT YOUTH RETURN TO THEIR FAMILIES OR A FOSTER HOME AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. AGENCY CHILD AND FAMILY SPECIALISTS PROVIDE COUNSELING AND SUPPORT TO FAMILIES IN THE FAMILY'S HOME. EACH FACILITY HAS DIRECT CARE STAFF THAT PROVIDE CARE AND SUPERVISION TO THE YOUTH WHO RESIDE IN OUR RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES. ADDITIONAL STAFF INCLUDE PROGRAM DIRECTORS, PROGRAM SUPERVISORS, HOUSE SUPERVISORS, SHIFT SUPERVISORS, ADVENTURE BASED COUNSELORS, DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN LIFE, MEDICAL COORDINATORS, A REGISTERED NURSE, AND A PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER. UNIQUE EXPERIENCES ARE PROVIDED TO YOUTH THROUGH TRIPS, OUTINGS, AND ACTIVITIES.
