At M.U.J.E.R. we provide a trusting environment that promotes emotional wellness and stability by empowering individuals through advocacy, direct response to domestic and sexual abuse, and support services that strengthen families.

Domestic and sexual violence services consists of: 1.) Community outreach and education to prevent sexual violence our efforts are targeted towards the immigrant populations that do not usually access main stream services; 2) DV intervention where advocates, therapists, and supervised interns provide families client centered services to assist in their healing journey. These services are provided to the entire family from the child who witnesses the abuse to the person enduring the abuse; and 3) SV intervention where full-time client advocates provide services to any SV victim 12 years of age or older. Mujer is a rape crisis center certified by the Florida Council against sexual violence, through which on-call advocates respond to SA calls from specified areas in Miami-Dade County. Mujer also participates in the Florida statewide rape hotline, where two on-call advocates respond to Spanish-speaking callers. All SV staff and advocates receive ongoing certified training to work with rape victims.
