We provide quality, compassionate care to hospice patients and their families.

Hospice services include visits by nurses, social workers, therapists, dietitian, chaplain and volunteers. Under the Medicare, medical or private insurance hospice benefit, we also provide all medications, medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal diagnosis. We are able to provide services at no charge, in the absence of a third party reimbursement source, through income from the hospice shop, operated by volunteers. We provided hospice services to 204 patients this fiscal year. We offered five six week bereavement support groups to 30 participants and community-based grief counseling at no charge. Our palliative care staff offers consults and telephone follow-up to patients not appropriate for hospice care. Staff provided 24 education sessions on end of life issues.
