Mission

The Northern California Regional Land Trust assists landowners and public agencies in the voluntary protection and conservation of agricultural land, open space, wildlife habitat, and other natural resources. Working across Butte, Glenn, and Tehama County, we are dedicated to responsibly stewarding natural landscapes and our region's deeply rooted farming and ranching heritage for generations to come. To advance our mission, we negotiate conservation easements, facilitate land acquisitions, and provide technical assistance in natural resource management and conservation. We also support environmental education for people of all ages, host events that bring the community together to celebrate land, and work to increase public access to wild nature and outdoor recreation in our region.

About

The organization acquires, holds, manages, and directs the disposition of land in a manner designated to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural, agricultural, historical, environmental, wildlife, and recreational values of such lands. Additional activities include the education of the public on matters relating to land use, planning for preservation and conservation purposes, and encouragement of sound public and private conservation practices with respect to land and water resources.
