Mission
Rocky Mountain Arts Association is Colorado’s oldest and largest LGBTQ arts organization. With a mission of “building community through music”, its member choruses, the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus and the Denver Women’s Chorus, have been entertaining audiences throughout the greater Denver metropolitan area and Colorado Front Range communities for thirty-six years. Now recognized as one of Colorado’s premier performing arts organizations, RMAA produces five subscription concert series each year and participates in dozens of free community outreach events benefitting nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups and business organizations, along with educational programming.

RMAA served our 200 singing members by providing rehearsal space, artistic and administrative staff, concert productions, and supporting their participation in over 25 community outreach performances. RMAA served our community through 8 major concert productions, free public concerts, outreach into the public school system with master classes for underserved choral departments and presenting choral students on stage in a major concert series. RMAA also supports the commissioning and performance of new choral works that address social concerns.
