As the only presenter of professional opera serving California's central coast, our company's diverse repertoire includes popular opera favorites, lesser known operas, contemporary American works and a world premier (Stephen Schwartz's seance on a wet afternoon) featuring regional and nationally-recognized artists. Opera SB's celebratory 25th anniversary season featured a grand opera staging of La Boheme (Granada Theater, November 2018), and a celebratory anniversary concert honoring company co-founder, Marilyn Gilbert. (Lobero Theatre, January 2019). Other main stage productions included performances of Eugene Onegin (March 2019) and The Crucible (April 2019) both at the Lobero Theatre. Attendance for these ticketed performances was 5,012.
