Colorado Music Festival: In 2019, the Colorado Music Festival continued its commitment to excellence. Music Director Peter Oundjian oversaw the festival's artistic product and curated the 20-concert season. The season boasted renowned guest artists, including Natasha Paremski, Kian Soltani, Jorg Wildmann, Robert McDuffie, and Gabriela Montero. The festival has also continued development of innovative adult education courses to coincide with concert programming. The festival saw increases in both ticket revenue and the number of tickets sold in 2019. Additionally, the festival continued its sixteen-year tradition of providing approximately $13,000 worth of concert tickets to an elder-care nonprofit that works to combat social isolation. We also offer free, open rehearsals which have been increasingly popular among residents of assisted living centers for whom staff coordinated transportation and scheduling.
