Mission

The purpose of the Zen Center of Denver is to foster the teaching of Zen to provide greater harmony and peace in ones own life and that of others, and to provide suitable surroundings in which to carry that out.

About

Construction continues on a new building for Zen Center of Denver at 1856 South Columbine Street. When complete, the building will facilitate the mission of Zen Center by providing a permanent contemplative space for daily meditation and Buddhist religious practice. A special fundraising campaign has continued to generate funds to be used for the completion of the temple and the surrounding landscaping including a zen garden. This included participation in the Colorado Gives Foundation initiative for two years so far. The expected completion date for the new temple is October 2019.
