Mission

AINC's mission is to provide news and information in audio format for the blind, low vision and print disabled community of Colorado. Audio services empower individuals to be self-sufficient, connected to community, and continuously learning.

About

AINC exists to provide audio access to ink print materials commonly available to sighted people but unavailable to AINC listeners. AINC broadcasts include: regional and local newspapers; community calendars; grocery and department store ads; employment and career advancement information; sports; disability news; senior information; cultural programming; children's hour; and various periodicals. 'Access to ink print' gives AINC listeners the opportunity to participate more actively and fully in their communities. Programs are broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout Colorado via Rocky Mountain PBS's KRMA channel 6 in Denver, KTSC channel 8 in Colorado Springs, KRMJ channel 18 in Grand Junction and KRMU channel 29 in Durango. Rocky Mountain PBS's digital audio channels are provided at no cost to AINC as a community service. AINC provides special pre-tuned digital receivers, speaker telephones, and MP3 players at no cost to its listeners.
