About

We place homeless animals into permanent homes. We work closely with the Moab City Animal Shelter. The Moab Animal Shelter accepts most surrendered animals so that the limited number of HSMV foster homes can care primarily for special-needs or very young animals. Foster agreements are required with specific criteria. HSMV spay/neuters all shelter and foster animals, advertises shelter and fostered dogs/cats in the local papers and on social media. Signed adoption agreements are required along with an adoption fee. HSMV has significantly decreased and stabilized shelter intakes through spay/neuter. We are a no-kill community. Our spay/neuter program increases adoptability at the shelter and targets owners most at risk for letting their pets reproduce. We believe that affordable access to spay/neuter is the key to saving lives and reducing shelter deaths.
