SUPPORT FOR THE TOURNAMENT COMES PRIMARILY FROM NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL SPONSORS IN THE FORM OF CASH AND IN-KIND DONATIONS THAT OFFSET DIRECT EVENT EXPENSES. NOTABLE UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP ALUMNI INCLUDE TONY FINAU, JOHN DALY, BUBBA WATSON, ZACH JOHNSON, AND 2018 UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP CHAMPION AND BREAKOUT PGA TOUR STAR, CAMERON CHAMP. IN ADDITION TO SHOWCASING WORLD CLASS GOLF, THE PGA TOUR HAS AN EMPHASIS ON CHARITABLE GIVING AND CREATING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITIES WHERE ITS TOURNAMENTS ARE HELD. OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS, THE TOURNAMENT HAS DONATED MORE THAN 250,000 TO UTAH BASED CHARITIES SUCH AS THE HUNTSMAN CANCER FOUNDATION, THE TONY FINAU FOUNDATION, AND THE LOCAL CHAPTER OF THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB. AS PART OF ITS CHARITABLE FOCUS, THE PGA TOUR REQUIRES ITS TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS TO BE REGISTERED 501(C)(3) NON-PROFITS AND DONATE A PORTION OF EVENT PROCEEDS TO A BONA FIDE CHARITY.
