Operation School Bell provides new clothing, hygiene supplies and shoe vouchers to Head Start, Chemawa Indian School, and elementary school students in the Salem-Keizer school district. Middle schools are served during shopping nights at the local JC Penney store and are each allotted $130. High school students and Chemawa Indian School students receive a $100 gift card and a $50 shoe voucher from local stores. Additional services were provided to 537 homeless students, which included food and laundry vouchers, extra clothing, shoes and hygiene supplies. A total of 3,227 students were served. Operation School Bell also provides volunteer hours and financial support to the dental program which screened 9,515 students. The screenings were held at 30 school sites.
