During 2019, MEDIA BRIDGES, INC. (MBI) projects were:1. Mineta Legacy Project: MBI continued as fiscal agent for this project. The documentary, "Norman Mineta and His Legacy: An American Story," was broadcast nationally on PBS in 2019. It screened at several film festivals, a State Department event, the Heart Mountain Pilgrimage (where Secretary Mineta was incarcerated during World War II), the National JACL convention, and the National Council for History Education. Work on the curriculum continues with the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education with a 2020 launch date expected.2. Vanishing Chinatown: The World of The Mays Photo Studio: This title changed from Trashed: The Lost World of Mays Photo Studio top the present title. MBI revised the website to reflect changes in the story. The half-hour documentary was completed in late 2019 and entered in film festivals. MBI was instrumental in working out broadcasting arrangements in 2020. MBI continued conversations with the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education and possible funding sources for the educational component.3. Stories and Legacies: MBI and Special Collections at Stanfords Green Library came to agreement on their working relationship for the project. MBI wrote a narrative and prepared a budget, and began seeking funding. 4. Fighting for Justice: The coram nobis Cases: This project is on hold until the master videotapes can be located.5. Stories from Tohoku: MBI continues to be the fiscal agent for this project.
