The aio Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports academic, athletic and artistic programs that enable Hawai‘i’s youth to develop the skills and knowledge to become self-sustaining, community-minded contributors who work toward making the Islands a better place. About

In response to the state's growing homeless crisis, Kahauiki Village is a plantation style community development designed to house Hawaii's homeless families. Kahauiki Village is a groundbreaking initiative that maximizes public and private resources to implement a long-term strategy aimed to achieve the following outcomes: Provide homes for homeless families; Provide employment opportunities within walking distance for homeless parents; Offer accomodation options for extended families. Kahauiki Village is a proposed community of approximately 150 one and two bedroom homes. When completed, Kahauiki Village is expected to house over 600 adults and children. At the end of 2018, 30 units were constructed and completed.
