Bullis Charter School provides an exceptional, child-centered education—rich in coding, math games, language, music, drama, and hands-on learning. But as a public charter school, BCS receives ~$8,200 less per student from public funding than traditional public schools in Los Altos and Mountain View.
To close this funding gap and sustain our signature programs, we suggest a donation of $6,000 per student. Gifts of every amount will make a difference. Thank you for helping all BCS learners thrive!
Daffy covers the bank/ACH transaction fees so 100% of your donation goes to your favorite charities. Daffy also waives fees for your first credit or debit card donation up to $1,000. After that, there is a 2.9% surcharge to cover fees charged by payment processors.
Together, we spark a lifelong love of learning in all of our students.
The BCS Foundation is the conduit through which parents and community members provide critical financial resources to Bullis Charter School, helping to advance its mission of offering a collaborative, experiential learning environment that emphasizes individual student growth.
Your support protects small class size, attracts innovative educational professionals and secures specialists in science, technology, engineering, art, math, Mandarin, Spanish, drama, music and PE. Your investment goes toward making sure that each student has a chance to code, play math games, learn a foreign language, sing, perform in a play, problem solve and learn in a dynamic environment.
This donation will be made through your DAF account at Daffy, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. The amount you can deduct depends on your filing status, whether you itemize, your adjusted gross income (AGI), and the type of asset contributed.
For itemizers, contributions to your Daffy fund are generally eligible for an immediate tax deduction in the calendar year the contribution is made. It's important to note:
For non-itemizers, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), passed in July 2025, introduced a new deduction for non-itemizers of up to $1,000 ($2,000 for married couples filing jointly) for direct cash donations to charities. Contributions to a DAF like Daffy are typically not eligible for this deduction.
For questions about the OBBBA or other tax matters, we recommend consulting a tax professional about your specific situation.
