About

During-school programs are designed to support and enhance general education goals and incorporate the California Visual and Performing Arts Standards. The Rotating Arts Wheel is our most comprehensive program. Class instruction is provided once or twice a week in dance, theatre, music and visual arts. The schedule, session duration, and chosen disciplines can be tailored to fit any school's population and budget. We also provide complementary programs to enhance any existing arts enrichment the schools may have on-site. Some of our supplemental programs include: Student Oriented Assembly Programs: These 40 minute performances by professional artists in Opera, Ballet, Piano and Brass Quartet are one way of improving cultural literacy for students. Each assembly is an interactive experience for the students who will have the opportunity to be part of the ensemble or chorus. Each performance ends with a Q & A. All sets, costumes, props and scripts are provided. Current shows: The Barber of Seville, Cinderella, Techno-Magic and String Serenade. Lunch Time Workshops: Students may explore any of the 4 arts disciplines. Arts Day: These all-day themed events are designed to immerse students in all 4 arts disciplines - often integrated with other California Content Standard curricula in science, social studies or language arts (i.e., mythology or the Gold Rush).
