2019 Coach Sam's accomplishments: Aiming Higher Program: -Major expansion and growth in schools: from eight schools (2018-2019) to eleven schools (2019-20) -Increased tutors in schools. -Increased students served in program -Rewrote and redeveloped Personal Development (PD) program which now links directly to literacy and books. -Ran out new unified literacy program across all sites. -Purchased new books, carts and tablets for each school site. -Staffed each school with site coordinator and gave additional responsibilities. -Hired two new academic coordinators to oversee all schools. -Accepted as a 'Say Yes' specialized provider within CMSD schools. -Continued to grow 'Family Engagement' as a 4th component by sponsoring family nights and hosting family events, -Continued summer programming partnership with Cuyahoga County Library System. -Partnered with individual schools to help sponsor and underwrite programming. -Expanded website, online offerings and out of school programming. Staff & Board: - Hired new site coordinators, tutors and site staff. - Hired two new academic coordinators. - Hired PT office manager Fundraising events: April, 2019 - Hosted our most successful Legends event raising over 60,000 in funding for additional schools while increasing community involvement. August, 2019- Hosted the Coach Sam's Golf Outing for the third successful year in a row, raising over 40,000 for schools and programs.
