About

Tejas as a member of the Peoples Task Force joined the coalition of 15 Superfund community leaders Washington, DC meet with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt and the head of Superfund Albert Kelly. The purpose was to advocate for the reinstatement of polluter pay rule. The main goals were human health and environmental protection must take top priority for taking action at superfund sites. To keep the superfund public participation program Technical Assistance Grants intact. Redevelopment potential must not take priorities such as human health. Yvette Arellano, Tejas representative added that an expedited need to address an overwhelming amount of sites and cutting corners should be a major concern.
