Mission

The Upper Valley Trails Alliance advocates for the use, maintenance, and development of trails in the region. Through education, outreach, and stewardship, we promote active lifestyles through trail use in all seasons, connect people and places through a regional trail network, and lead a coalition of local trail groups and advocates.

About

True to our alliance founding principles, we are working with a large number of upper valley communities and partners providing expertise and technical assistance for trail projects including: in 2018 UVTA worked on over 30 trail projects, building and improving over 70 miles of trails in the region. Partnering with many towns, businesses, foundations, and organizations. UVTA organized over 200 volunteers totaling 2,300 hours of work on trails and at events. UTVA staff, trail corps students and volunteers built bridges and added stone trail structures at 11 locations in the upper valley. UVTA staff and volunteers built a new trail connnecting Dartmouth Hitchcock patients and staff to access an extensive trail network. UVTA strengthened the trails alliance with the first organizational membership meeting with 30 UVTA partners in attendance.
