About this organization
Mission
Engaging Schools collaborates with educators to create school communities where each and every student develops the skills and mindsets needed to succeed and make positive contributions in school, work, and life. We provide professional learning and publications for instructional practice, classroom management, discipline and student support, postsecondary readiness, and advisory programs. All are grounded in the values of equity, community, and democracy. The result is engaging schools where each and every student succeeds and makes positive contributions in school, work, and life.
About
Engaging Schools offers books (print and e-books), videos, and other materials that are used as core texts for our on-site services. These resources can also be used by educators as standalone resources. It is not always possible for schools to have an Engaging Schools consultant on site. In those cases, our resources explain our approach and give educators practical, ready-to-use strategies and guidance. These resources provide powerful learning and insight in the areas of creating and sustaining student engagement, supporting instruction, managing classrooms, building and sustaining advisory programs, and more. They offer practices and strategies that educators can begin to use immediately in their classrooms. We have embedded years of learning and field testing into our books, DVDs, and other products. They support school improvement plans as well as individual educators' self-directed learning. We also offer selected products from other publishers that support Engaging Schools' work.
