DMVAS economic development programming facilitates communication and the flow of information between Del Mar's business community, residents, visitors, community organizations, and government agencies. Programming facilitates economic growth and unity in the Del Mar downtown business and residential community through successful destination promotions and outreach efforts while preserving Del Mar's history and unique character. Programming included, operating the Del Mar community and visitor center (assisted over 15,000 visitors, distributed over 12,000 brochures), summer valet parking operation, holiday parking assistance, public art assistance, historic preservation, downtown event calendar, downtown historic points of interest walking tour with interactive plaques, comprehensive Del Mar Village website (reached over 170,000), downtown business directory (include happy hours, happenings and community events) (reached over 170,000), community and business newsletters (sent to over 12,000 subscribers), comprehensive destination marketing, Del Mar Village logo/branding, downtown village map/brochure and directory, PR/tourism outreach, new businesses recruitment, and vacant downtown properties link for commercial property owners.
