Instruction and research. Wesleyan University offers instruction in 45 departments, 45 major fields of study, 17 minor fields of study, and 12 certificates of study, and awards the Bachelor of Arts and graduate degrees. The Master of Arts degree and the Doctor of Philosophy are regularly awarded in six fields of study.
