Mission

Ywca Brooklyn is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Ywca Brooklyn furthers its mission by providing affordable housing for women, most of whom are survivors of gender-based violence; a college access and leadership development program for low-income girls of color; social justice advocacy; and a community center that offers racial justice and gender equity programs as well as free and subsidized meeting space to nonprofit and civic partners throughout the borough.
