Our programs span across housing, senior services, health care, youth development, education, empowerment, community development, arts programming, skills training, homelessness prevention, and access to healthy foods.
About
RB Seniors is a comprehensive program of senior services stretching throughout Brooklyn. Since its inception in a single senior center in Bushwick, programs have expanded to nine senior centers and clubs offering nutritious meals, promotion, arts, education and recreation, and many opportunities for socialization. Our events bring seniors from every background together to talk, learn, dance and find moments of joy and connection with people of all ages. We also prepare and deliver a nutritious hot meal to over 1,800 frail elderly clients in their homes from North Brooklyn to Crown Heights and Sunset Park. We also provide overnight respite, social adult day care, and caregiver support services. Case management services, provided in the home, connect seniors to nutritious meals, benefits advocacy, home care services and resources to reduce social isolation such as friendly visiting. Our comprehensive approach is a model that empowers seniors to find a renewed sense of purpose in their community and a passion for life. Key accomplishments: 610,161 home delivered meals, 1,098 case management served, 6,951 senior center and clubs membership, 232,810 congregate meals.
