To provide development oriented programs to the youth and families of Brooklyn Central communities with cultural, educational, employment and career counseling. A food pantry and sports program. Operates in conjunction.
About
The community development program encompasses the following four projects, which are provided free of charge: Project Excell - an arts and academic enrichment project that meets on Saturdays for youths ages 6 - 12; After-School - a project which meets five days a week to provide students with homework assistance, tutoring, performing arts courses, field trips, employment and career counseling, and a snack; Tell Mama Now - a mentoring project in which girls ages 7 - 12 learn specialized art techniques from art professionals; and Inter-Generational Development Center - a center for seniors to meet five days a week for games, lunch, aerobics, singing, and local field trips.
