Our mission is to empower immigrants and refugees with the tools they need to successfully acclimate to the world around them and become active participants in their communities. Our vision is more pressing today than ever: Striving for a socially just society where all immigrants including Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian populations can fully partake as Americans. AAFSC's initiatives operate across four priority areas - promote, prevent, get ready, and communicate - to promote wellness, prevent gender-based violence and child abuse, get family members ready to lead productive lives, and communicate immigrant needs to partners and policymakers. We pursue our vision across all priority areas and we structure our activities around impact and outcomes.

Family and children preventative services - The Arab-American Family Support Center is embedded in and representative of the communities we serve. As a settlement house, we are a neighborhood-based organization offering wraparound services and activities in Brooklyn, Queens, and NYC family justice centers across the city to reinforce the strengths of individuals, families, and communities. Our staff speaks 21 languages, including Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Hindi, Pashto, Punjabi, and Urdu, enabling us to communicate with ease, nuance, and cultural sensitivity.
