You gotta believe (ygb) exists for one reason: to work toward the day when no young person leaves foster care without the unconditional lifetime commitment of a family. We ensure that our society’s most vulnerable youth – foster youth – do not fall through the system’s cracks by aging out alone, because being alone is unhealthy. For ygb, the “most vulnerable” means youth who come from residential homes and treatment centers, or have been in foster care for years, lgbtq youth, pregnant/parenting youth, and youth with mental health challenges.
