Cardinal McCloskey Community Services’ (CMCS) mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services. Founded in 1946, CMCS provides child welfare, early childhood education, and adult disability services through programs located in the Bronx, East Harlem, and Westchester and Rockland Counties. We protect 2,500 children and youth through our child welfare programs, provide early childhood education to more than 2,200 children from low-income families, and help over 200 developmentally disabled adults lead more fulfilling and independent lives.
