Mission
The mission of Westchester Library System (WLS) is to empower lives and communities by connecting people in Westchester County with the resources, services and programs available through WLS and the member libraries. WLS will promote the love of learning, discovery of new ideas and opportunities for all in Westchester County. It will help strengthen the member libraries of Westchester County to share information and resources, supporting a welcoming environment to everyone in the community.
About
The organization encourages the coordination and sharing of resources among members, provides and supports the technological infrastructure used by member libraries, offers staff development and training for organization and member library staff, and provides advocacy at the local, county, state and national levels to improve awareness of funding for libraries.
