Mission

The Churchill School and Center is a K-12 coeducational college-preparatory day school dedicated to working collaboratively with students, educators, and families to help children with language-based learning disabilities realize their full potential.

About

The Churchill Elementary School provides a supportive, structured environment in which students are encouraged to expand their knowledge and use their strengths while developing their reading, writing, math, social, and organizational skills. Students learn to accept and understand their learning disabilities, become self-advocates, and take responsibility for their own learning. The Churchill Middle School provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment in which students are encouraged to expand their academic knowledge while developing their organizational and study skills in preparation for high school. In this setting, designed for the needs of the early adolescent, students feel comfortable exploring their personal identities and become increasingly independent. The Churchill High School offers its students a rich and varied program that closely resembles a mainstream high school experience while providing individualized support for developing compensatory learning strategies, organizational and study skills, and laying an academic foundation in preparation for college. The four-year program (grades 9-12) enables students to obtain either a New York State Regents or a local diploma by completing course, testing, and community service requirements.
