Mission
The Riverside Language Program's mission is to support successful and rapid integration of new immigrants into life in the United States. We focus on accelerating English language proficiency and increasing opportunities for employment and education attainment.
About
The Riverside Language Program served over 350 students in FY 18. It is in the top 5% of adult education programs in New York State, as measured by the 2017 NYS Adult Education Providers Report Card. The report measures - among other things - educational gain and employment outcomes and places us in the top quartile. Our delivery of English language, coupled with wrap-around case management and counseling, job readiness preparation, digital literacy, and civics instruction to newly arrived immigrants each year, has garnered us the highest accolade possible from NY state Education Department Highly Proficient. These services ensure that our students are able to secure better jobs and education opportunities.
