Mission

Covenant House New Jersey’s (CHNJ) mission is to provide housing and supportive services to youth ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness with absolute respect and unconditional love regardless of race, creed, religion, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation.

About

Emergency shelter and crisis care Covenant House provides emergency shelter and crisis care to runaway, homeless and trafficked youth between the ages of 18-21. With 45 beds in Newark and 27 in Atlantic City, the focus is on stabilizing the young person's crisis by welcoming them to a safe environment and proving food, clothing and a warm bed. This year, our emergency shelters served 518 homeless young people who had nowhere else to turn.
