About

The Jawonio Foundation, Inc. was founded to support the mission of promoting the independence, well-being and equality of children and adults with special needs. Foundation funding is secured through fundraising activities which include grants, events and special campaigns to fund: the development of innovative pilot projects, capital projects and program enhancements to improve services to individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges and chronic medical conditions that are unfunded by traditional funding sources. This year the foundation supported unfunded children and family education programs, social enterprises such as the Jawonio Cleaning Company, behavioral health services, employment services for adults and related services for children with disabilities who have no insurance, as well as enhancements to our early intervention program for children ages 0 - 3. The Jawonio Foundation also supports community organizations that are in alignment with our mission. Jawonio promotes health and wellness education and activities across the lifespan for those who seek our services.
